It was my Dads 531c steel bike that got me back in the saddle after a few years off. It was built in 1989 and is still a beautiful bike to ride. The main thing I love about steel bikes is the skill and passion that goes into building them. I recently photographed Tim Leicester of Sword cycles in his workshop in Ashbourne, Derbyshire. Tim is no exception to my rule, he is a very experienced and skilled framebuilder with huge amounts of passion for what he does. Check him out here - www.swordcycles.co.uk
I've set myself quite a challenge to try and raise some money in memory of baby Ted French who very sadly lost his life to Mitochondrial disease at only 5 and a half months old. I'm trying to raise £1000 for the Lily foundation, a charity that helps support families affected by this terrible disease. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.
